About German Car Wallpapers

Beetle, one of the most well-known and loved ones of the Volkswagen brand, has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, also known as the tortoise and turtle. The brand released a new model of this trendy model in 1999 under the name New Beetle.

Brands such as Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Seat, and Škoda also belong to the Volkswagen automobile group.

Another important name among German car brands is Audi. The Audi brand dates back to 1899 and August Horch. Horch himself designed the first Horch car in 1901. Later, due to disagreements with the company, he launched his brand under the name Audi in 1910.

The name Horch means "Listen!" in old German means. The word Audi is also "Listen!" is the Latin equivalent of the word. The name of the brand comes from August Horch. Audi, one of today's successful brands, is also a German car brand. We can say that Audi owes this success to the design studies carried out in the 1990s. The brand, which achieved great success with its new designs in those years, managed to become one of the best in the industry.

Let's come to the star of German car brands, Mercedes-Benz! It was founded in Stuttgart in 1926 by Karl Benz and the company owned by Gottlieb Daimler. The story of the brand's name, which produces vehicles that appeal to the upper segment, is also fascinating.

In 1897, the Austrian Consul General in Nice Emil Jellinek visited Daimler. During this visit, he buys a Daimler vehicle. Emil Jellinek, who gained great acclaim on the French Riviera with this vehicle, bought another racing car from Daimler in 1899. He gave his eldest daughter Mercedes the name of this race car and participated in a race in Nice and won first place. Following this success, Emil Jellinek ordered 36 more cars from Daimler and stipulated that these cars should bear the Mercedes name. After the success of sales, Daimler named the vehicles it produced after 1901 as Mercedes.
