Lightning; is a temporary light in the form of a broken line formed when electricity is discharged between two clouds. Thunder is an electrical discharge between the sky and the earth, consisting of lightning. In other words, lightning occurs between two clouds and thunder occurs between the cloud and the earth. To discuss the subject in more detail; how is lightning formed?
Depending on the season and the weather, the temperature differences between the earth's temperature and the sky and the types of clouds are the conditions that create lightning. If the air is not a good conductor, it creates high tension clouds. For physical reasons, the part of the cloud that is close to the ground during loading is loaded with a negative value (85% probability). Meanwhile, the ground is also positively charged throughout the cloud. In some conditions, reverse loading may also occur (15% probability). With the increase of the storm, the negative charge rate in the cloud, and accordingly the positive charge separation on the ground accelerates. As the potential difference between the cloud and the ground increases, it becomes easier to pierce the air in between, and after a certain value, discharge starts from the cloud to the ground or from the soil to the cloud along the conductive channel formed by the puncture of the air. The discharge between a cloud and another cloud is called lightning, and the discharge between the cloud and the ground is called thunder.
These two natural events, which have a very high electrical power, create a potential to meet electricity for centuries even at once. Today, it is still trying to collect information about lightning events.
