The gorilla is the largest living humanoid and primate genus. Unlike most other primates, it lives on the ground. It is herbivorous and lives in the rainforests of Equatorial Africa. While walking on the tree, it does not jump on it without trying with its long arms to see if the branch to which it will hold can pull its body weight and is very dependent on its offspring.

The gorilla is generally an animal that is calm and feels comfortable even when satiated with very little food. Its only natural enemy is the leopard. He does not fight with his fellows. Gorillas generally live in small family groups. The group consists of a male leader, 4-5 females, and offspring. The group leader must be at least ten years old. It is immediately recognizable thanks to its silvery-white back. For this reason, male gorillas are called "silverback." The movement of the group is led by the leader. The male gorilla sometimes stands up on both feet and angrily punches his chest in establishing authority in his herd. He intimidates his surroundings with his nervous roars, walking sideways.

Gorillas; feed on sprouts, leaves, and fruits. They roam everywhere during the day to feed. The nomads set up camp somewhere every night. The female and the cubs nest in the middle-height branches of the trees and lie there. On the other hand, large-bodied males sleep by leaning their backs against the tree in simple beds they make from branches at the bottom of the tree. Gorillas lay their nests by rearranging them every day.

Gorillas only live in Africa. Mountain gorillas have a long lock of hair on their head. Lowland gorillas do not have this. Gorillas are in danger of disappearance due to poachers. The mountain gorilla is endangered and lives only in Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Uganda. Only 280-300 mountain gorillas remain in nature. The lowland gorilla lives in the Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic. Of the lowland gorillas, there are 15,000-30,000 left in nature.
