In Islam, human relations are called hablun min al-nas. If measure with Allah is usually represented in the aspect of worship, then forms of relationships and interactions with people of other religions can be included outside of non-worship. This form of relationship requires good understanding and mutual respect for the other's beliefs. It is in this aspect that the relationship termed mu'amalah in a broad sense must be explained in relation to the legitimacy of Islamic law.

This was very clearly practiced directly by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The prophet's practice of interacting and mu'amalah with people of other religions is a form of teaching and teaching to Muslims.

Some examples include when the Prophet pawned his (war) armor to a Jew. And the Prophet Muhammad himself had an in-law who was Jewish.

However, even though the Prophet established harmonious relationships with non-Muslims and helped each other with them in terms of daily muamalah, this does not mean that the Prophet followed their beliefs and worship. When the non-Muslim Quraysh came and invited the Prophet to worship their god for a year and they too would worship Allah for a year, the Prophet firmly said, "lakum dinukum waliyadin" (To you is your religion and to me is my religion. Q.S. Al-Kafirun: 6) .

At least some of the above are enough for us to prove that in fact Islam and its people are not as exclusive as some parties think, especially in establishing relationships with parties who have different beliefs from them. Islam really respects differences and does not make them a barrier to achieving harmony between Muslims and those in terms of muamalah, not in terms of faith or worship. Herein lies the basic principle of Islamic teachings which are a blessing for all nature.

This pocket book examines several themes related to relations between Muslims and non-Muslims. For example, the law on non-Muslims entering mosques, celebrating non-Muslim holidays, the law on accepting scholarships from non-Muslims and so on.

This small book is the author's attempt to look at aspects of Muslim and non-Muslim relations from fiqh opinions which are known to be very plural and diverse with specific models of legal exploration. Hopefully this book can provide some benefit to the reading public, enjoy.
