Pegon is Arabic writing that has sentences other than Arabic. Pegon is the piwulang of the ancient Salaf Ulama' in Java. So there are no specific standards for how to write them like Arabic sentences.
For this reason, beginners who are already adept at reading the Al-Qur'an may not necessarily be able to read pegon fluently. Meanwhile, reciting the yellow book cannot be separated from reading pegon to use the lafadz in the yellow book.
