What is the essence of repentance, so that we are reminded never to ignore it? Repentance is our statement of forgiveness to God for all the mistakes we have committed intentionally or not. Because we are servants and Allah is God, this is indeed a consequence of the relationship between the servant and his Lord.
However, statements like that are not a guarantee that tomorrow, we as humans, will not repeat mistakes again or make mistakes, which ironically is human nature. To be able to repent nasuha, a person must be aware of God, aware of what his position should be towards Him, and what he should do as a consequence of that relationship. There's something deeper than just an "apology."
We can get one message from God's teachings to repent, namely how humans must act correctly. By reading this book, we will be led to realize that we are servants of Allah. There are tips so that our intention to repent truly comes from our conscience.
