Many letters have arrived since Wasith and Baghdad asking Shaykh Muhammad bin Al-Qasim bin Abi Al-Badar bin Al-Mulhi Al-Mizzi about how many branches of the faith there are?
As narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim friend Abu Huralrah Radhiyallahu Anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa Sallam said:
"Faith has more than sixty, or seventy more branches. The highest or most important according to different narrations is the saying 'there is no god but Allah', the lowest is removing obstacles from the path, and shame is part of faith."
Because of the breadth of his knowledge, the Shaykh actually wanted to mention it in detail, but he postponed his answer because there were several obstacles.
After some time and more and more questions, I presented the book Syu'abul Iman written by Imam Al-Hafizh Al-Faqih Abu Bakar Ahmad bin Al-Husain Al-Baihaqi, totaling six volumes, for me to quote exactly as it was in the original. This theme is found in various volumes, he does not include it in the first volume or in the preamble. He was more concerned with detailing his sharah, which was scattered throughout all volumes of the book.
