Indonesia's Islamic economic system according to scientific approaches is parallel in its existence to capitalism and socialism. The Islamic economic system is not the same as capitalism and socialism.
There are fundamental differences in the Islamic economic system in terms of paradigm, micro-foundations and philosophical foundations. This difference has consequences at a lower level.
For example, in Islam it is not permissible to buy and sell haram goods such as pork, but for the West it is not a problem as long as you get benefits and profits. The Islamic economic system is a subsystem of the supra system of Islamic teachings.
As a subsystem, the Islamic economic system stands on solid pillars, namely: basic values, instrumental values, philosophical values, normative values and practical values.
In the formulation offered by Monzer Kahf, there are three important components that are the foundation of an economic system construction; economic philosophy, economic principles, and detailed methods for efforts that can determine economic change.
If the economic framework as expressed by Kahf is infused with Islamic substance, several new concepts will be obtained that are different from the Capitalist economic concept.
