There are more than 1,200 different species of bats, and only bats can fly. Like all real mammals, bat babies are fed by their mothers' milk. These detectors have special microphones that can pick up ultrasonic sounds and electronics that can translate the sounds so that people can hear them.

Ultrasonic sounds are made by bats, which means that the frequencies of the sounds are higher than what humans can hear. Most bat sounds are two to three times louder than the highest sound a person can hear. Almost all bats hang from the ceiling. Their feet have evolved to be relaxed while they are clenched. When they are ready to fly, they let go and fall, which gives them momentum.
