About Emergency Kit Expiry Log
A stock notebook that keeps the "until when" of your emergency food and disaster supplies in one place.
- Keep the dates together
- Register the use-by dates of emergency food, stored water and supplies, and you are told when one approaches (30 days and 7 days before)
- Enter the date by hand, and add a photo if you like (the photo never leaves the device)
- Items with no expiry, such as a torch or a power bank, can be kept separately as an inspection list
WHO IT IS FOR
- You sometimes let the dates on emergency food and stored water slip by
- You want to check where your disaster supplies are kept and how many you have, in one list
- You want to rotate your stock, using the items closest to their dates first
- You want to review batteries, medicine, hygiene items and supplies for children and pets as well
- You would like a reason to check your supplies on Disaster Prevention Day or on 11 March
HOW TO REGISTER
- Choose from six categories: water, food, batteries, medicine, hygiene, and children and pets
- Choose a place for each item, such as the entrance, living room, bedroom, car or grab bag, or type your own
- Note the quantity, and you are told when it is about time to replace an item that has run out
- Press "refilled or replaced" when you restock, and mark an item as disposed of when you throw it out
EXAMPLE
1. Register water, food, batteries and so on, choosing a category and a place
2. Enter a date for items that have one. Items without one are kept on an inspection list
3. You are notified 30 days and 7 days before
4. On 1 September and 11 March, review each category against its "rough guide is X, you currently have Y"
5. When you buy more, record the replacement and mark the old ones as disposed of
- A check twice a year
- On 1 September and 11 March, a gentle reminder that it is time to look through your supplies
- For each category it shows "a rough guide is X, you currently have Y" to help you review
- Privacy
- Everything stays inside this device only (nothing is sent anywhere)
- No ads
Please note: this app does not deliver disaster information or warnings. It is a tool for keeping records and reminders about your supplies.
Please note: do not judge for yourself whether a medicine is still usable. Ask a pharmacist or another professional.
