About Lend & Borrow + Library Due
"When is that book due?" "Did I ever get that back?" - all in one notebook.
Lend & Borrow keeps library returns and the things you lend and borrow from people, together in one place.
[All in one place]
- Library due dates (2 weeks, 3 weeks or 1 month with a single chip)
- Things borrowed from, and lent to, friends and family
- Borrowed and lent are told apart at a glance by colour, icon and wording
[Designed so it never gets awkward]
- It does not connect to anyone's contacts (the other person is never notified)
- When something you lent goes past its date, it does not scold you
- Only for library returns does it quietly say "time to return this"
- You can also record something with no date at all (for "whenever is fine")
[Made to be safe to use]
- Records are kept inside this device only (nothing is sent anywhere)
- No ads. Free to use, with up to 10 items at a time
- Lending and borrowing of money is not supported
WHO IT IS FOR
- You keep missing the due dates of library books
- You cannot tell how many books or discs you have lent out and never got back
- You forget when you promised to return something you borrowed
- It feels awkward to ask someone to give back what you lent
- Writing it all in separate notes has become a chore
AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO USE IT
1. When you borrow a library book, tap the "2 weeks", "3 weeks" or "1 month" chip
2. When you borrow something from a friend, add it as "borrowed" with the person's name
3. When you lend something, add it as "lent" in the same way
4. In the list, tell borrowed and lent apart by colour, icon and wording
5. Tap "returned" or "got it back" to clear the record
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMETHING IS RETURNED
- A record you mark as returned moves to returned
- Returned items do not count toward the 10-item limit
- Finished records never fill up your free space
LIBRARY RETURNS
- The due date is set by tapping one chip for the loan period
- Only for library returns, a quiet notice arrives as the date gets close
- The wording is gentle: "time to return this"
BETWEEN YOU AND OTHER PEOPLE
- Things you borrowed and things you lent sit in one list
- You can record something with no date (for "whenever is fine")
