Coatstand: Wardrobe & Outfits

Coatstand is a wardrobe app that keeps a record of what you own and what you actually wear - on your phone, with no account. Photograph your clothes, put pieces together into outfits, log what you wore each day, and see how often each piece is worn and what it has cost you per wear.

★ A digital closet of your own
Every piece with a photo, a category, one or two named colours and its seasons - and, if you like, its brand, size, what you paid and when, where it is kept and a note. Mark a piece away while it is washing, mending or lent, and gone when it is given away, sold or worn out: gone is an archive, so its history stays.
Coatstand has no camera of its own - take the photos with your phone's camera, then pick them. Add several takes up to twenty photos at once; each becomes a piece to finish, starting from the last piece's category and colours.

★ Outfits, side by side
A simple outfit planner and outfit maker: put two to twelve pieces together as an outfit, shown as their photos side by side. A piece that is away or gone stays in its outfits, marked in words.

★ What you wore, as a calendar
Log a wear in a few taps - an outfit, or just the jeans and the grey jumper. Today by default, any earlier day, more than one a day if you change for a run. Read the log as a calendar by month or as a list, and save what you wore as an outfit.

★ The numbers, and only the numbers
For every piece: worn once, worn 7 times, not worn since 12 March, never worn - always counted from your log. With a price, its cost per wear: what you paid over the times you wore it, rounded half up to its currency's smallest unit. Across the closet: your pieces by category, the most worn, the least worn and the longest unworn - your numbers to read as you like. Coatstand never tells anyone what to keep or give away.

★ Find any piece
A clothes organizer with filters by category, colour, season and state, five sorts - most worn, least worn, last worn among them - and a search by name, brand or note.

★ Your closet stays yours
Your pieces, outfits, wears and photos stay on your phone. Coatstand never sends them anywhere and never reads your location. They leave it only if you save a backup or a CSV file where you choose.
It works with no connection and no account, and it needs the internet only for ads. It never asks you for a permission: not your camera, your photos or your location.
A backup holds every piece, outfit, wear and photo in one file. Android's own cloud backup is off for Coatstand, so a new phone starts empty unless you restore a backup you saved. A CSV of your pieces or of your log opens in any spreadsheet.

★ What Coatstand is not
Coatstand keeps a record of what you own and wear. It gives no styling advice, suggests nothing, has no shop and no links to one, and knows nothing about the weather.
It never edits a photo - no background removal, cut-outs, filters, blur, stickers, watermarks or text on a picture - and it makes no packing lists, boxes or labels.
A price is your own note of what you paid: Coatstand adds no prices together, keeps no budget and moves no money.

★ Ads
Ads come from Google's ads software, which receives your phone's advertising ID, an approximate location from its internet address and how ads are seen. Coatstand never gives it a piece, a photo, a price or a word you wrote. An ad only ever comes after you save a new piece or log a new wear, never while you type.
