Muntin: Photo Collage Maker

Muntin is a photo collage maker for a few photos of one day: side by side, stacked, in a photo grid, or one big photo with the others round it. Choose a layout, set each photo in its cell, choose the shape, the spacing, the border, the corners and the background, and save the picture collage to your gallery or share it.

Rows, columns, grids, and one big cell with smaller ones beside it, below it or round it. Every layout is there from the start, and nothing is locked.
- Pick up to 9 photos at once with Android's photo picker
- Change the layout at any time: your photos keep their order and how you placed them
- A layout for more photos leaves a cell empty, and the editor says so until you fill it

Each photo fills its cell. Drag it to move it, pinch to zoom, double tap to put it back.
- Turn a photo a quarter at a time, or flip it
- Swap two photos with two taps, in the picture or in the photo strip under it, which works with a screen reader too
- Replace or remove a photo, with an Undo straight after

★ THE SHAPE AND THE STYLE
Square, portrait 4:5, 3:4 or 2:3, tall 9:16, landscape 4:3 or 3:2, or wide 16:9, each named by its shape and its use.
- Spacing between the photos and a border round them, from none to wide, the same at every size
- Square, soft or round corners
- A background from twelve colours, from white and paper to sage, sky and navy

★ WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU SAVE
This collage editor draws the saved picture from the same layout as the screen, at the size you choose: 1,440, 2,400 or 3,600 pixels on the long side, as a JPEG or a PNG. Nothing is stamped on your picture.
- On Android 10 and later a saved picture goes into your gallery, in a Muntin folder of its own
- On Android 7 to 9 it goes where you choose in Android's file picker
- A saved or shared picture is a new file: it carries no location and nothing else from your photos

★ YOUR COLLAGE WAITS FOR YOU
Take a call, turn the phone, open the photo picker: you come back to the same photo layout, every photo where you left it. Muntin keeps one collage in progress, and starting a new one asks first.

★ YOUR PHOTOS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Your photos stay on your phone. Muntin keeps its own copies of the photos in your collage in progress, in its private storage, until you start a new collage, and never sends them anywhere. A picture leaves the phone only if you save it or share it.
- It works with no connection and no account, and it needs the internet only for ads
- It never asks you for a permission: not your photos, your storage, your camera or your location
- Android's cloud backup is off for Muntin, so a new phone starts with no collage in progress; your saved pictures are in your gallery
- Muntin arranges photos into one picture and nothing more: no filters, effects, text, stickers or watermark, no blur, no sketch or cartoon look, and no slideshow, passport photo, card or invitation.

★ ADS
Ads come from Google's ads software, which receives your phone's advertising ID, an approximate location from its internet address and how ads are seen. Muntin never gives it a photo or anything about your collage. An ad only ever comes after a collage is saved or shared, never while you make one and never as the app opens. There are no banners. A short ad in Settings turns the others off for a day, and nothing in the app is behind it.
