★ THE SERVINGS DIAL
• Tap up or down and every quantity scales at once
• 1 1/2 cups becomes 2 1/4 cups, not 2.25
• 2/3 stays 2/3 — the amounts stay the fractions your measuring cups are marked in
• Nothing is rewritten in your recipe. Scale it to twelve, come back tomorrow, it is exactly as you wrote it


★ AMOUNTS THE WAY RECIPES ARE WRITTEN
• 2, 1.5, 1 1/2, 3/4 or 1/2 — type whichever you have
• Teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, ounces, pounds, ml, litres, grams, kilos, or just a number for 3 eggs
• Nothing is ever converted behind your back. Six teaspoons stay six teaspoons


★ THE THINGS THAT DO NOT DOUBLE
• Salt to taste has no amount, so it never gets one
• One bay leaf can be marked as fixed, and stays one however much you scale


★ COOK MODE
• Big text you can read from the other side of the bench
• Tick the steps off as you go
• The screen stays on while you cook, and goes back to normal when you leave
• No advertisement can appear here. Not while you are cooking


★ FIND IT AGAIN
• Search names, notes and ingredients — "ricotta" finds the recipe with ricotta in it
• Tag anything: dinner, quick, vegan, mum's
• Accents and any keyboard's digits are handled, so creme finds crème

• Works completely offline — airplane mode changes nothing
• Share a recipe as plain text into any message
• Export everything as one readable JSON file, and restore it

★ WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
It does not come with recipes. It is somewhere to keep yours. Nothing is fetched from the internet, and nothing you write ever leaves your phone.


No banner ads. There is a full-screen ad occasionally, in the parts of the app you browse rather than while you are cooking, and an optional video that turns them off for a day.
