About Reflection: Capture Your Life
Reflection is not a logging app.
It’s not just a journaling app.
It’s a place to capture your life.
I’ve been building Reflection around a simple idea:
«What if you could actually go back and see your life — not just remember it?»
Think about your childhood, the trips you took, the decisions you made, the habits you built, the people you met, the movies you watched, the things you learned, the small moments that felt insignificant at the time.
We remember fragments.
But what if you had the ability to see the patterns, progress, experiences and moments that shaped you over time?
That's what Reflection is trying to become.
Reflection is a place where you cut the noise and keep what matters to you.
And because what matters is different for everyone, Reflection doesn't tell you how to use it.
You shape it around your life.
I use Reflection every day for things like:
• Tracking my daily routine and progress
• Breathing, running, workouts, medication, supplements and work
• Recording how I'm feeling throughout the day
• Important life decisions and lessons
• Movies and series I've watched
• Shopping and important purchases
• Trip experiences and complete trip timelines
• Restaurants and places I've visited
• Shared tasks with my brother
• Even small things like when I last went to the salon 😄
And that's just my way of using it.
My brother, an architect, uses Reflection to manage his clients.
My sister uses it to capture her child's achievements, milestones and future goals — and shares those logs with her child.
My fiancée uses it to keep track of important dates, periods, experiences and memories, and shares some of those logs with me.
Others use it for household expenses, tasks, life lessons, achievements and completely different things.
And that's when I realised something:
Reflection doesn't need to fit into one category.
It's flexible enough to become whatever is important in your life.
You might not find it useful today.
And that's okay.
Because there may be a moment months or years from now when something clicks.
You might suddenly want to know:
"When did I start doing this?"
"How was I feeling during that period?"
"What changed?"
"What patterns kept repeating?"
"How much have I actually progressed?"
And you'll wish you had captured it.
That's why I believe Reflection should become an integral part of your day.
Not because every moment needs to be documented.
But because some moments become meaningful only when you look back at them.
Reflection is your life and the moments you choose to keep.
It shapes around what you bring to it.
And over time, those small logs can become something much bigger:
A reflection of your life.
I'm still learning how to use Reflection better myself.
Because honestly, the more I use it, the more I realise how much it can become.
This is just the beginning. 🚀
