About Zenith: Prayer Times & Qibla
Zenith shows the five daily prayer times for wherever you are. Open it and today's Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha are already there, with a countdown to the next one. No account, no sign-in, nothing to set up first.
No ads
There are no banners, no full-screen ads and no ad SDK in this app. Checking a prayer time will never mean looking at an advertisement.
Works offline
Every time is calculated on the device. On a plane, in a basement, on a phone with no data left, the timetable still appears. Zenith has no server of its own. Only Zenith Plus purchases are confirmed by Google Play, and even then your location and settings never leave the phone.
Fourteen published calculation methods
Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority of Survey, University of Islamic Sciences Karachi, Umm al-Qura, Dubai, Moonsighting Committee, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore (MUIS), Tehran, Diyanet of Turkey, Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia (Kemenag) and Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM). Zenith uses the angles and offsets each authority publishes and never invents its own. Asr can follow the standard or the Hanafi opinion, and there are three high-latitude rules for places where twilight does not end.
Quiet by default
Notifications arrive as silent banners unless you decide otherwise. The adhan sound is something you switch on, not something the app plays for you in a meeting or on a bus. Each prayer can be turned on or off separately, and you can add a reminder before the time.
Home and lock screen widgets
A widget shows the next prayer and the time left until it. You can see it without opening the app.
Time format and reminders
Choose automatic (your device language), 12-hour or 24-hour time. Each prayer can have its own reminder 10, 15 or 30 minutes before the Adhan.
Qibla compass
The compass points toward Makkah from where you are, and the screen answers with a gold glow when you are lined up.
Monthly timetable and Hijri dates
A full month fits on one screen, with the Hijri date and Ramadan shown alongside. The Hijri date comes from the arithmetic calendar, so it can differ by a day from a local moon sighting announcement, and the app says so on the screen rather than hiding it.
Location is optional
If you would rather not share your location, pick your city from a list of more than thirty thousand cities. That list is inside the app, so searching it needs no connection either.
Zenith Plus (optional, lifetime)
A one-time lifetime purchase adds Iqamah times, today's prayer times for a travel city, and a prayer log. There is no subscription, and everything that is free today stays free.
Zenith is a utility: calculation, notifications, widgets and a compass. It carries no religious commentary or lectures.
