About Felt Pool

Felt Pool is an 8-ball game for one player and an opponent that runs entirely
on your phone. No ads, no network, no account, and nothing to buy: every part
of the app is open from the first launch.

PHYSICS, NOT ANIMATION
The table is simulated at a fixed 240 steps a second: rolling friction, the
throw a cut puts on the object ball, side english that changes the angle off a
cushion by up to eight degrees, and the cue ball coming to rest where the
physics says it stops. The same shot always gives the same result, whatever
the frame rate.

THE AIM LINE TELLS THE TRUTH
It is drawn by the same formulas the shot itself uses: the first contact, a
ghost ball at the point of contact, where the object ball will go, and the cue
ball through two cushions. The two-cushion line is there for everyone from the
first launch.

FOUR OPPONENTS, ALL OPEN
Rookie, Amateur, Expert and Shark. Each one aims tighter and controls power
better; the top two plan where the cue ball stops for the next shot, and Shark
plays safe when nothing is on. The opponent checks every ball against every
pocket and tries the shot in simulation before it plays it, up to 120
simulated shots a turn.

FULL 8-BALL RULES
An open table after the break, groups decided by the first ball legally
potted, ball in hand after a foul, a called pocket for the 8, and every foul
the rules name: the cue ball in a pocket, no rail after contact, the wrong
ball hit first and a miss. Single rack, race to 3 or race to 5.

SIXTY TRICK SHOTS IN FIVE CHAPTERS
All five chapters are open from the first launch. Pot two balls with one
stroke, send the cue ball off a cushion first, pot one ball and leave the
other alone, or clear the table inside the shot limit. Three stars a task: one
for the task, two for doing it with room to spare, three for doing it on the
first attempt.

PRACTICE
A free table with no opponent and no rules: move the cue ball anywhere and
rack the balls again whenever you like.

YOUR MATCH IS SAVED
Leave in the middle of a rack and come back to the exact ball positions, the
groups, the score, the fouls and the clock.

STATISTICS
Racks and matches for each opponent, pot rate, balls potted a visit, best run,
break success, racks won in a single visit, fouls by type and the trick shot
stars you have collected.

MADE FOR ONE HAND
Aim by dragging on the table, set power with the slider beside it, pick the
contact point on the cue ball, or pull the cue back and release. A
left-handed layout, a short or full aim line, a light or dark theme and
reduced motion are all in Settings.

COINS ARE EARNED BY PLAYING
Coins come from won racks, racks with no fouls, win streaks, your first rack
of the day, won matches and solved trick shots. They pay for the Guide line,
an undo, a trick retry and the extra cloths, cue sets and cue ball rings. They
cannot be bought: the app sells nothing and takes no payments.

NOT A GAMBLING GAME
There are no bets, no chips, no wheels and no prizes. Coins cannot be won by
wagering, cannot be transferred to another player and cannot be exchanged for
anything outside the app.

OFFLINE AND PRIVATE
The app has no network code at all. Nothing is collected, nothing is sent
anywhere, no advertising identifier is read, and it asks for no permissions:
no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no notifications.
