VHS Camcorder - Trackfuzz

Trackfuzz is a VHS camcorder in your phone that films live: tap REC and your video looks like it came off a 90s camcorder tape. The VHS camera look is applied in real time while you film, not afterwards in an editor, and there is no time limit.

Every tape is a different camcorder with its own character: tracking lines, colour bleeding, tape noise, a slight wobble and the head-switching noise along the bottom edge. Film in classic 4:3 or in 16:9. The sound gets tape character too, with hiss and a gentle wobble, and you can switch it off.

THE CAMCORDER DISPLAY
A REC display with tape counter, battery and tape speed sits on the picture, together with date and time. Set any date you like and film a birthday as if it were 1996. Hold REW while filming for a rewind glitch that is recorded straight into the clip.

Every tape can also be tried live in the viewfinder, and each one explains why it looks the way it does, from colour bandwidth to head switching.
