Envelope Budget: Kuverto

Kuverto is an envelope budget app that gives every dollar a job before you spend it. Envelope budgeting the way it should feel: put your paycheck into envelopes in 30 seconds, log an expense in two taps, and always see what is left.

No bank login. No account. No ads. Your budget stays on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
• Money comes in, you give it a job. Kuverto suggests the split from your plan: overspending first, then bills by due date, then everyday envelopes, then goals. Adjust any envelope with one tap until Ready to assign shows zero.
• Spend from an envelope in two taps: type the amount, tap the envelope. Done. Undo is right there.
• Every envelope shows a traffic light with a reason: On track · $12 a day, Running low, Needs $120 by Nov 3, Overspent by $8. Shapes as well as colors, so it works for color-blind eyes too.
• Leftovers roll over, overspending carries over until you cover it. Nothing resets behind your back.
• Close the month: your envelopes stack up, a wax seal stamps what you kept, and next month is planned in seconds.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE
• Zero based budget with real money only: you assign what you actually have, ideal for weekly, biweekly or irregular pay.
• Bills with due dates, everyday envelopes with a monthly plan, and goals (sinking funds) that work out their own monthly amount.
• Recurring income and bills: automatic or waiting for one tap.
• The math is always visible: carried over + put in − spent = in the envelope. Balances are calculated from your transactions, never stored, so they cannot drift.
• Cash, checking and card accounts, transfers, and a quick balance check against your bank.
• CSV import from your bank or another budget app, with duplicate protection. Old months can be marked as settled so nothing shows as overspent today.
• Backup file and Android backup for a new phone. Any currency, light and dark mode, 15 languages.
• Evening check-in (optional): one reminder, only on days you have not logged anything or a bill is due.
