About Wartungs App: Schornsteinfeger
Maintenance planner and app for your home, heating system, and chimney sweep: When is the mandatory inspection of your fireplace or heating system due, and when is the legionella test? Does the electrical system really need to be inspected every four years?
HausCheck gathers all inspection and maintenance deadlines in one place. Each deadline includes the legal basis and a link to the official text. Where there is no obligation, the app explicitly states this.
SEVEN SYSTEMS, NINETEEN DEADLINES
Heating, chimney sweep, drinking water, elevator, oil tank, lightning protection, electrical system, backflow preventer: from the mandatory inspection of fireplaces and chimney sweeping to flue gas measurement, legionella testing, elevator testing, and oil tank inspection.
Fuel type, output, large system, tank volume, water protection zone, number of residential units, and type of use determine the deadline. HausCheck calculates down to the month and specifies for each entry who is authorized to perform the inspection, such as only an authorized inspection body or the district chimney sweep.
WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT CLAIM
• No mandatory electrical safety check every four years for landlords. The Federal Court of Justice has ruled that there is no obligation to inspect heating systems without cause.
• There is no legally mandated interval for heating system maintenance. "Annually" is specified in the maintenance contract, not in the law.
• There is no nationwide inspection interval for backflow preventers. The municipality's drainage regulations are binding.
• Aboveground oil tanks outside of protected areas: 1,001 to 10,000 liters only require a one-time inspection before commissioning.
• Inspection intervals for lightning protection systems are only specified in a standard that requires payment.
• Smoke detectors are subject to state law and are not covered here.
REMINDERS THAT ARRIVE
7, 14, or 30 days in advance. The reminder will still appear even if you don't open the app for months and will persist through a restart.
INSPECTION REPORT AND CSV EXPORT
Check off completed inspections, with the invoice amount shown upon request. The CSV export contains all deadlines with legal basis, source, and inspection authority, as well as the report, directly readable in Excel.
FREE AND PRO
Free: one building with facilities, deadlines, floor plan, and reminders for the next deadline. Pro: maintenance plan with all dates and annual costs, every reminder, unlimited buildings, and CSV export. Monthly or annual subscription, automatically renews, cancelable at any time in Google Play.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
HausCheck provides a non-binding overview of inspection and maintenance deadlines based on the linked official legal sources (as of September 2026) and does not constitute legal advice. The app is a private service and is not affiliated with any government agency. Many obligations depend on the state, municipality, and the specific characteristics of the building and are subject to change at short notice. Only the currently applicable legal text or regulation and the notices issued by the responsible authorities, such as the inspection certificate issued by the authorized district chimney sweep, are legally binding.
