Circuit Workshop

An order comes in: 60 plates, or 30 modules without a single defect, or the same output on half the budget. You have a small floor, an ore deposit and a delivery dock. The rest is up to you.

Place extractors, cutters, assemblers, inspectors and splitters, connect them with belts and press Run. You watch the shift play out: items moving, queues growing on the belts, machines working or waiting. At the end, one line tells you what held you back and points at the right cell: "What held you back: the Cutter at C3, busy 98% of the shift." Rearrange and try again.

There is no single right answer. Every contract has been checked by a program: there are always at least two different factories that fill it, and the first obvious idea is not enough. Stars reward matching the best known output and the lowest known cost.
