Lince: Scam Checker

Got a text from "Royal Mail", a message from "your bank" or a "Hi Mum, this is my new number"? Before you pay, click or reply, ask Lince.

IS THIS A SCAM?
• Share the message from WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail, paste it, or pick a screenshot.
• Lince looks for the tell-tale signs: requests for bank transfers, gift cards or crypto; urgency and threats; requests for codes and passwords; remote-access apps; fake links imitating brands, shortened links, suspicious endings.
• Traffic-light result (green, amber, red), every sign explained in plain words with the suspicious words highlighted, and "What to do now".
• The analysis runs on your phone. You can also ask for an online link check (Google Web Risk and domain age).

FAMILY MODE
• Set up a parent's or grandparent's phone in 2 minutes: a family code word and the real numbers of children and grandchildren.
• When a message looks like a relative with a new number, a big warning appears: "Ask for the code word" and a button to call the real number.
• Simple mode: big text, stronger contrast, fewer buttons. A family card for the fridge.

ALERTS • Scams going round now, from official sources in your country, with links.
ACADEMY • "Spot the scam": 2 minutes a day, realistic messages, explanations, streaks, levels and medals.
BEEN SCAMMED? • Step-by-step checklist and official fraud lines of major banks, police and authorities.

PRIVACY • No account. Does not read your texts, calls or contacts. Reports are anonymous and optional.
• Six languages, content for the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Germany.

Results are indicative: Lince can be wrong and does not replace your bank or the police. Free, with ads that never appear on results, family warnings or the emergency guide.
