About TAPline: TAP & TUN VPN client
TAPline connects your phone to your own OpenVPN server, the one at home, at the office or in the cloud. It runs the real OpenVPN 2.7, so a profile that works on your computer works here.
TAP and TUN, without root
Most Android clients only do TUN. TAPline also does TAP: your phone joins the server's network as if it were plugged in there, with an address from that network's DHCP server, its broadcasts and its IPv6. No root needed.
Import in seconds
Open a .ovpn file, a zip with its certificates, a download link or pasted text, or set a profile up by hand. TAPline gathers every certificate and key into the profile, tells you what it changed and why, and asks OpenVPN to check the profile before you rely on it.
Every way of signing in
User name and password, private key passphrases, one-time codes (static and dynamic challenges), web sign-in, and HTTP and SOCKS proxies that ask for a sign-in. Passwords are encrypted with a key in Android's keystore, or asked every time.
Your routes, your DNS, your apps
Send everything through the tunnel, or only the server's networks. Add or exclude routes, keep your local network reachable, choose how IPv6 behaves, and use the server's DNS or your own. Choose which apps use the VPN.
Stays connected
Traffic waits for the tunnel while it reconnects instead of leaking around it. Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data moves the tunnel over at once. Always-on VPN, Block connections without VPN, connect at boot, and automatic restarts are all supported.
Tells you what went wrong
When a connection fails, TAPline says why in plain words, with what to check, instead of an exit code. The log, the connection's details and a history of sessions are a tap away.
Quick to reach
A quick settings tile, launcher shortcuts, a notification with live traffic and Disconnect and Reconnect, and automation for Tasker and similar apps (off until you turn it on).
Private by design
No accounts, no ads, no analytics. TAPline only talks to the servers and links you give it, and your profiles and passwords stay on the phone unless you export them.
TAPline needs an OpenVPN server to connect to; it doesn't provide one.
