ReelBrowser: TV Web Browser

ReelBrowser brings the whole web to your TV, in a browser designed for the remote in your hand. Open it and your tabs are where you left them, ready to carry on from the sofa.

MADE FOR THE REMOTE
• A pointer you steer with the arrows: hold one and it glides, faster the longer you hold, and OK clicks, like a tap
• Push against an edge and the page scrolls, even boxes that scroll on their own
• Rather jump from link to link? A clear focus ring moves between links and buttons instead
• Hold OK on a link or picture to open it in a new or private tab, bookmark it, download it, or open it on your phone with a QR code
• A Bluetooth mouse and keyboard work too, with the usual shortcuts

EVERYTHING YOU'D EXPECT FROM A BROWSER
• Type or say an address or a search, with suggestions from your bookmarks and history, and from your search engine: Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, Ecosia, Startpage or Yahoo
• A start page with your bookmarks and the sites you visit most, as big tiles in each site's colours
• As many tabs as you like, with live thumbnails, back where they were each time you open the app
• Private tabs leave no history, and delete their cookies and site data when the last one closes
• Bookmarks, the last 90 days of history, and downloads

AN AD BLOCKER BUILT IN
• Blocks ad and tracking servers on the sites you visit, using five public block lists that ReelBrowser keeps up to date
• A stop sign beside the address switches it off when a site won't work without its ads, and back on

COMFORTABLE ON THE BIG SCREEN
• Zoom each site, remembered for next time, and set a text size for all of them
• Dark websites: sites with a dark style use it, and the rest are darkened
• Ask for the desktop version of a site when the mobile one doesn't suit a TV
• Full-screen video, with the remote's play/pause, rewind and fast-forward keys
• Find in page, and a home page of your choice

QUICK, EVEN ON A TV STICK
• Opens in a moment, straight onto your start page or your tabs
• Tabs you haven't looked at for a while are put to sleep to keep the TV fast, and come back as they were

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The app has no ads of its own, no analytics, no tracking and no account with us. Your history, bookmarks and tabs stay on your TV. Third-party cookies and pop-ups are blocked, and cameras, microphones and other device access are refused.

WHAT YOU NEED
• A TV or streaming box with Android TV or Google TV (Android 8.0 or newer)
• Android System WebView, which shows the pages, kept up to date by Google Play. Private tabs need a recent version
