MetalSense Metal Detector turns your phone's magnetometer into a clear, responsive magnetic-field scanner. Watch nearby field changes in real time, compare them with a calibrated baseline, and save useful scan context on your device.

CALIBRATE FOR YOUR ENVIRONMENT
Magnetic conditions vary between rooms, locations, phone cases, and devices. Place the phone away from magnets, chargers, speakers, tools, and large metal objects, then run the guided three-second calibration to establish a fresh baseline.
OPTIONAL FEEDBACK
Choose a magnetic-change threshold and enable sound or vibration feedback. Alerts run only while a foreground scan is active, helping you follow changes without staring continuously at the display.
LOCAL SCAN HISTORY
Stop a scan to save its timestamp, duration, baseline, average, maximum, peak delta, and compact signal trace. Review details, add a note describing where you measured, share a plain-text summary, or clear your history. Scan data and settings remain in local app storage unless you choose to share.
HONEST MEASUREMENT LIMITS
MetalSense measures changes reported by Android's magnetic-field sensor. A phone cannot reliably identify gold, silver, copper, material type, object depth, buried treasure, or every kind of metal. Ferromagnetic objects and electronics may create noticeable changes; many metals may create little or no response. Results depend on the phone's sensor, orientation, case, interference, object size, and distance.
A compatible magnetometer is required for real measurements. Unsupported devices receive a clear unavailable-sensor message instead of a fabricated result.
Advertising may appear to support development without changing the core scan workflow.
