About Zoroaster: Calendar & Gahs

Follow the rhythm of Zoroastrian named days and make room for good thoughts, good words and good deeds.

Zoroaster brings together three calendars, the five watches of the day, an offline reading library and a private reflection journal in a quiet, warm-toned interface.

THREE CALENDARS
Start with Fasli or switch to Shahenshahi and Kadmi. Browse twelve months of thirty named days, the five Gatha days and the separate Fasli leap day. See matching day-and-month dedications, Khordad Sal and the six Gahambar periods. The selected calendar is always visible.

Fasli uses a fixed 21 March New Year. Shahenshahi and Kadmi use continuous 365-day years. The guide explains the calculation anchors and conventions.

FIVE DAILY WATCHES
Start at Greenwich, London, then search for your city or select a place on the world map. The app fills in coordinates and a time zone, including current daylight saving time. Sunrise and sunset are calculated on your device. Explore Hawan, Rapithwin or seasonal Second Hawan, Uzerin, Aiwisruthrem and Ushahin. The display states its clock boundaries, and missing solar events remain unavailable.

THOUGHT, WORD AND DEED
Each of the thirty named days has an original educational reading and three distinct prompts. Mark a day reflected, write your own response or share the day's reading as an image with its date, reference and app link.

READ WITH SOURCES
Explore fourteen guide entries, including six Amesha Spenta profiles, asha, fire and calendar methods. Read Siroza I and II, four Yasna chapters, all five Gahs and two Bundahishn creation chapters in the app. Historical translations have named editions and expandable book contents. Search text, change the reading size and use Top and Bottom controls. Reading references open inside the app.

YOUR REFLECTION JOURNAL
Keep separate notes for thoughts, words and deeds. Drafts remain on the device when you leave the editor. Read, edit or delete saved entries. Journal data is excluded from cloud backup and device transfer, and is never included in daily image shares.

A home-screen widget shows the named day and a reflection. An optional daily reminder is off until you enable it.

Calculations, the library, bundled city search and the map work offline. Extended city search, advertising and purchases use online services. All content and features are free. The optional Remove ads purchase removes advertising only.
