About New Thought: Manifestation

New Thought is a library and a daily practice built from the books the modern idea of manifestation came from: eight works of the New Thought movement, written between 1904 and 1928, in full.

Thomas Troward, Wallace D. Wattles, Christian D. Larson, Charles F. Haanel, Florence Scovel Shinn and Robert Collier wrote these books to change how their readers think, and they are still read for that a century later. The app keeps every page of them, with the author and the year.

259 CHOSEN PASSAGES
Each passage is cut word for word from the book and labelled:
• Practice: attention, thought, character, gratitude, effort, words, quiet.
• Claim: the author's teaching about mind and the universe.
• Promise: what the author says right thinking brings.

TODAY
• One passage a day from a cycle of 240, never the same author two days running.
• A short comment on the passage and its author, and one small exercise for the day.
• Share the day's passage as an image with its author and year.

LIBRARY
• All eight books, chapter by chapter, with a short introduction to each.
• Search across all eight. Bookmark a passage or a chapter.
• Text size for reading.

PRACTICE
Seven practices, seven steps each: gratitude, attention, intention, words, persistence, giving and quiet. Each step is a passage, a comment, a question or an exercise. The app counts the days you practised as a total that never falls. No streaks, no badges, no percentages.

JOURNAL
Gratitude, intentions and notes. They stay on this device: never shared, never backed up, never counted.

LORE
Nine articles: what these books promise, a short history of the movement from Quimby to the churches, where manifestation came from, the six authors and how they differ, gratitude in these books, The Kybalion and New Thought, and more.

The books are in the public domain in the United States and the European Union. Everything works offline, with no account.

Free to install, with ads. A single one-time purchase removes them; nothing else is for sale.
