Toyota Tacoma is a pickup truck model produced by Toyota since 1995.

The first generation Toyota Tacoma was produced between 1995-2004, and the second generation was constructed between 2004-2015. Today, the third generation has been produced. Many pickup truck magazines chose Toyota Tacoma as the pickup truck of the year in 2005.

In 2000, Toyota began developing the second generation Toyota Tacoma under the supervision of chief engineer Chikuo Kubota. Most of the development work was done by Hino in Japan. Hino's designers, Shigeya Hattori and Hideo Karikomi, won the interior design competition in 2001.

As the stronger Toyota Tacoma, it is a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline unit that offers 278 horsepower and 359 nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
