Rolls Royce Classics are a tangible status symbol. The Rolls Royce Classic cars that earned this title in the early 1900s are still dizzying and revered 100 years later.

Rolls Royce Classic models were founded in 1904 by Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce. Royce had been manufacturing automobiles under his name since 1884.

Early versions of the famous mascot "Spirit of Ecstasy," which have graced the front of all Rolls Royce Classic models since 1911, were called "Whisper." Designed by Charles Sykes and first used by Montagu, Count of Beaulieu, the figurine was based on British actress Eleanor Velasco Thornton. Rolls Royce Classic models later hired Sykes for the model mascot, adapting this decoration piece to all their models.

Even years later, Rolls Royce Classic also included exceptional examples from each generation in the exhibition organized for the launch of the eighth generation Phantom. Among them is Fred Astaire's Phantom I.


Another striking model in the exhibition was Beatles member John Lennon's Rolls Royce Classic's Phantom V. Purchased on June 3, 1965, and initially available in Valentine Black, the vehicle was painted a distinctive shade of yellow in 1967 and shipped to the United States in 1970.

There are specific success stories in making the Rolls Royce Classic the "Best Car in the World" of a British brand. Early cars were not considered reliable due to their constant breakdown and repair difficulties. Rolls Royce Classic models, on the other hand, relied on their quality to prove the opposite. When the Silver Ghost, a model of the Rolls Royce Classic in 1907, traveled 27 times without stopping its engine between London and Glasgow, leaving 14,371 miles behind, the spotlights began to rise above the vehicle. Rolls-Royce, which received the title of "The Best Car in the World" after this great success, continues to produce vehicles with this motto.
