Introduced at the beginning of 2003, the Ducati Multistrada is a line of motorcycles with a V-twin engine. A mix of supermoto and sport-tourer, the Multistrada was built to compete with other twin-cylinder motorcycles in its class, such as the BMW GS and Yamaha TDM850. However, Ducati Multistrada could not be a suitable motorcycle for the terrain conditions. Later models also produced an enduro version with toothed wheels.

Specific models of the Ducati Multistrada are as follows: the Multistrada 1000DS, which went on sale in 2003. Then in 2005, the Multistrada 620 and 620 Dark entered the market with the entry model. Later in 2007, Multistrada 1100 and 1100S models started to be produced.
