• Scan the receipt: the total and tax are read off a photo, on the phone, and dropped into the fields for you to check. Nothing is uploaded; the picture never leaves your phone. Receipt reading uses PaddleOCR models (Apache 2.0, from Baidu) and ONNX Runtime (MIT), both on the phone.
• Three ways to split: the whole bill, the tip and tax only, or the tip only.
• Tax, handled properly: add the tax line and choose whether the tip is figured on the pre-tax amount.
• Round the total to a clean $5, up or down, and see the tip you actually left.
• Recent bills, so the last few splits are a tap away.
• Share the split as a message.
• The back button returns to the previous screen instead of leaving the app.
