Even after dyeing, gray hair roots become noticeable again in 3-4 weeks. Each time, memories fade—what product and color you used last time, how long you left it on, whether you were satisfied with the results, and whether it irritated your scalp. Standing in front of the drugstore shelves, you might wonder, "What did I buy last time?" and searching online only brings up general dyeing methods and recommended products. There's no record of what worked best for your specific hair.

The Gray Hair Dye Notebook app lets you record your at-home hair coloring and gray hair dyeing experiences, all within this device. By recording one entry each time you dye your hair, it will tell you, based on your own experience, which product to use and how to use it next time.

■ Recalling "What worked best last time" (the core of this app)
At the top of the home screen, the product you've been most satisfied with so far is prominently displayed. It includes the manufacturer, product name, color number, processing time, dyeing results, and number of times used. Tapping it allows you to draft a record of your dyeing experience with that product. Opening this screen in front of the shelf will eliminate any confusion. If the product you're looking for isn't on the shelf, it will display up to three other products with color numbers that have never caused scalp irritation and have a satisfaction rating of 3 or higher.

■ Predicts and Notifies You of Your Next Dyeing Schedule
Based on your past dyeing intervals, it learns your ideal cycle and predicts when your next dyeing is due. When you have few records, it uses a general guideline for root growth (the guideline varies depending on whether it's just the roots or the whole head). Once set, it will notify you a few days before, on the day of, and 3 days after the recommended date, and then once a week until you make a new record. Tapping the notification opens the "This was good last time" screen. You can prepare before your roots become noticeable.

Between dyeing and the recommended date, tap "Today's Root Check" on the home screen (still okay/starting to notice). The recommended date will shift forward or backward immediately from the day you tap, and the next cycle prediction will also begin. If you turn on notifications, you'll receive "Root Check" notifications on the 7th and 14th day after dyeing, and tapping them will return you to this screen.

■ Warning for Products Causing Scalp Irritation
Products you've recorded as causing scalp irritation will be displayed in red on the home page and in the search bar. You can search for the color number in-store to instantly check your records to see if you've experienced irritation before. This only displays your own records and does not determine allergies or rashes. Always perform a patch test before dyeing your hair.

■ What You Can Record in One Entry
Date of dyeing, manufacturer, product name, color (color number or tone), type (cream/foam/lotion/treatment, etc.), application area (roots only/entire head), processing time, dyeing results, satisfaction level, scalp irritation, cost, notes, and a photo of the finished result. This becomes your personalized gray hair dyeing record.

■ Cost Summary
You can review your average cost per dyeing session, your total for the year, and your monthly costs. See how much you're saving by dyeing your hair at home compared to a salon.

■ The Basics of Gray Hair Dye
This app includes information on the fundamentals of hair coloring, patch testing, color selection tips, color care and retention, and scalp care, all with source references.

■ What it Can't Do (Listed First)
- There is no salon booking function. This app is for recording your at-home hair dyeing.
- The next dyeing interval is an estimate based on past intervals and general guidelines. The appropriate timing varies depending on the condition of your hair and gray hair.
- We do not diagnose skin problems or provide medical advice. If you experience rash or itching, discontinue use and consult a medical institution. Please perform a patch test (skin allergy test) before dyeing your hair.
- There is no automatic synchronization across devices. Records are saved only on the device you entered the data on.

■ Information Handling
There is no account registration or login. All dyeing records, photos, and settings are saved only on your device, and we do not send them to external servers. Since this app is provided free of charge, banner ads (Google AdMob) will be displayed at the bottom of the list and home screens. Communication with Google will occur to deliver ads. Ads will not be displayed on screens during input. Since uninstalling will erase your records, it's a good idea to save important photos in your device's photo album.

Start with just one entry from your next hair coloring session. By simply adding entries each time you color your hair, you'll create your own personalized gray hair coloring record, making it much easier to choose products and determine the timing of your next coloring.
