About 動悸ノート|誘因がわかる記録
Palpitations can strike suddenly and unexpectedly. They can occur at night in bed, during your commute, or in public—a rapid, strong, skipping heartbeat. By the time you see a doctor and get an electrocardiogram, they've usually subsided. That's why it's crucial to record "how it felt" at the time, otherwise you won't remember later. Searching online will only yield general information, not a record of your specific episode.
The Palpitation Notebook is a symptom diary where you record the intensity of your palpitations (0-10), how you felt, the duration, the circumstances, accompanying symptoms, how it affected your daily life, and any possible triggers, all within this device. By accumulating one entry per episode, you'll see, in numbers, what days your palpitations tend to be stronger.
■ Trigger Correlation (The core of this app)
The first screen displays "Trigger Correlation." This app calculates the average difference in the intensity of your palpitations on days when triggers such as sleep deprivation, high stress, caffeine, alcohol, exercise, and smoking were present, compared to days when they were not. It identifies the triggers that intensify your palpitations, such as "On sleep-deprived days, palpitations are 4.2 stronger on average." This provides a unique answer that reading and measuring apps cannot offer.
■ Clues to Seeking Medical Attention
Palpitations accompanied by chest pain/pressure, fainting/feeling fainting, or severe shortness of breath are signs you should definitely tell your doctor. If you select these in your record, the app will highlight them in red as "Clues to Seeking Medical Attention" and count how many times they occurred. While it doesn't provide a diagnosis, it serves as a monitor to ensure you don't miss important episodes.
■ Simple Recording
When palpitations occur, simply select the intensity from 0 to 10, tap how it feels (fast/jumping/strong/irregular), duration (a few seconds to over 30 minutes), circumstances at the time, any accompanying symptoms, and any suspected triggers. You can save one entry in just a few seconds.
■ Monitoring the Progress
Displays the average intensity over the past 7 days and the difference from the previous period. You can see, using color and numbers, whether the palpitations are calming down or if the number of strong days is increasing.
■ Analysis
You can review the differences in intensity for each trigger, the average intensity by month, and the bias in how you feel, the duration, the situation, and the impact on your daily life using graphs.
■ Summary/CSV for Doctors
Palpitations often subside by the time of a doctor's visit. For faster and more accurate explanations than verbal descriptions during doctor's visits, you can export a summary of the most recent records, average intensity, progress, how you feel, duration, clues to seek medical attention, and triggers that tend to intensify palpitations, along with a CSV file (for spreadsheet and printing), using the device's sharing function.
■ The Basics of Palpitations
Includes the basics of palpitations, guidelines for seeking medical attention (chest pain, fainting, prolonged palpitations), lifestyle habits and triggers, and how to cope with your feelings, all with sources cited (this is not medical advice).
■ What it cannot do (listed first)
* This app does not provide diagnoses. The causal correlations, progression, and clues for seeking medical attention are merely guidelines for managing your health and do not definitively determine the cause.
* There is no function to measure heart rate (sensor measurement). This app is solely for recording and analyzing palpitations you personally experience.
* There is no automatic synchronization across devices. Records are saved only on the device you entered the data on.
■ Handling of Information
There is no account registration or login. All records and settings are saved only on your device, and we do not send them to external servers. Because this app is provided free of charge, banner ads (Google AdMob) are displayed at the bottom of the Home, Analysis, and Iroha screens. Ads are not displayed on screens during data entry. Uninstalling the app will erase your records.
If you experience chest pain or pressure, lightheadedness, palpitations accompanied by severe shortness of breath, or palpitations that are prolonged or recurring, please consult a medical institution such as a cardiologist without hesitation. If you experience severe symptoms or feel like you might lose consciousness, do not hesitate to consider seeking emergency medical attention.
First, start by recording one instance of palpitations. By simply recording one instance each time an attack occurs, you'll begin to see your own unique triggers.
