Urban Wellbeing is an app that measures your experiences within an urban environment, specifically focusing on your mental wellbeing and how can be impacted by environmental factors such as air pollution, noise and how somewhere looks.
The app uses a concept called “ecological momentary assessment” to monitor how the surrounding environment affects our mental wellbeing. During the assessment, participants will be asked to take a photograph of the environment you are standing in and an audio recording of noise within the environment. In addition, location data and the Air Quality Index score and level (AURN DEFRA) will be collected to create an overall assessment of your experiences within an environment.
Participation in this research project is anonymous, and the information provided by individual participants is kept private and confidential.
