Snack Lob: Space Slingshot

Six plush monsters are hungry, and you've got a slingshot and a lunchbox full of snacks.

Pull back anywhere on the screen, let go, and lob a grape, a marshmallow, a strawberry or an apple into an open mouth. Snacks have weight. A grape flies far. An apple fills a belly in one go but drops short. Take too long and the monsters get grumpy.

EVERY WORLD HAS ITS REAL GRAVITY
Each level is a short trip. Keep everybody fed on one world, then hop in the rocket to the next: Earth, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Titan, Venus, Mercury and Pluto. Each one has its real gravity and its real air, so the same throw lands somewhere new. On the Moon a snack sails right past everybody. On Jupiter it barely leaves your hand. On Venus the air is so thick it's like throwing through soup. Every landing tells you one true thing about where you are.

SIX MONSTERS, ALL HUNGRY
The little one stands closest. The tall one needs a snack dropped in from above. The rock face lives in the wall, and the bat hangs upside down, so you feed it on the way up. Name them whatever you want.

WIN THEM CLOTHES
Clearing a level wins a knitted piece of clothing: goggles, scarves, capes, a bow tie. Dress your monsters up and they wear it in every game.

16 LEVELS, THEN MORE
Sixteen trips that get a little harder each time, then Endless, and Today's Feed: one set of worlds a day, the same for everyone in the house. Only your first try counts.

MADE TO HAND OVER
- Plays offline. No wifi needed.
- Nothing to sign up for. No account.
- Ads only between games, never during a throw. They're cards for our other games, and going to Google Play from one asks a grown-up question first.
- Nothing collected about you or your kid.

Snack Lob is made by Pettigrew Lab, a small family studio. Our kids playtested it, and they liked the grumpy monsters most.
