Every place starts as a research dossier — earliest history, construction, architecture, archaeology, the myths and what's actually known — with the confidence of each claim recorded and the sources listed. Then it's written to be listened to, and narrated in full.

That's why a stop is six to twenty-six minutes instead of ninety seconds. The Trevi Fountain guide can tell you about the hoard of more than 800 bronze coins hidden in a wall during the Vandal sack of 455 and found nine metres under the street in 2001, because someone went and read the excavation report.


Built for actually being there

Works without signal. Download a city over wi-fi before you leave. Every guide plays in full on aeroplane mode, in a basement, or on roaming you'd rather not pay for.

Notices what's near you. An optional list of landmarks within about a kilometre, so you find the things you didn't know to look for. Decline the permission and everything else still works.

Quietly private

There is no advertising SDK in Wanderlight and no account, so there is no name or email to attach anything to. We use Amplitude to count which guides get played and where people stop listening, and RevenueCat to handle purchases. If you allow location access, your coordinates are compared against the landmark list on your device and never transmitted — not to us, not to anyone.


Who it's for

People who would rather understand one building than photograph nine. First visits and fourth ones. Anyone who has stood in front of something important, read the plaque, and wanted more than the plaque.
