About Sktr VPN & Guard
Sktr VPN & Guard is a fast, private VPN with WireGuard, IKEv2, and built-in DNS protection. Connect to global servers, protect your traffic on public Wi-Fi, and keep everyday browsing private — with clear, simple controls.
Core features:
- Secure VPN tunnels with WireGuard and IKEv2
- Additional protocols including OpenVPN and an obfuscated "stealth" mode
- Built-in DNS protection and safer resolver routing
- Fast server selection across multiple regions
- One-tap connect and disconnect
- Kill-switch style connection protection
- Usage, quota, and settings screens
Why Sktr:
- Modern encryption with WireGuard for speed and IKEv2 for stability
- DNS-level protection to reduce tracking and unsafe lookups
- A clean interface that shows exactly what's connected and how much data you've used
- No browsing history logging
Foreground service disclosure:
When you start a VPN connection, Sktr VPN & Guard uses an Android foreground service with a persistent notification to keep the active VPN tunnel visible and stable. This service is required to route device traffic through the VPN, monitor the connection state, keep DNS protection active, maintain kill-switch/blocking behavior, and stop the protection immediately when you disconnect. The foreground service only runs while VPN protection is active, or while the app is completing a connection or disconnection you requested.
Sktr VPN & Guard is designed for people who want a practical VPN client with clear controls and reliable, encrypted connectivity.
