Gießtag – Houseplant Watering

Gießtag (German for "watering day") reminds you of all your plants on one fixed day of the week and tells you how much water each one gets. Instead of dozens of separate reminders, you water everything in one round.

HOW IT WORKS
• Add a plant: pick from 62 common houseplants, each with a picture. Don't know the name? Simply choose by appearance.
• Enter the pot size and spot. Gießtag works out the rhythm and the amount.
• On watering day you get one notification. In the watering round, sorted by room, you tap each plant as soon as it has its water.

THE AMOUNT IN YOUR GLASS
Nobody measures 325 ml with a watering can. So Gießtag also shows the amount in your own vessel: "about 1¼ glasses" or "just under ½ watering can". You choose your vessel once.

STEP BY STEP THROUGH THE ROUND
If you like, Gießtag guides you from plant to plant: name, room and amount in large type, with a "Watered" button below. Gießtag knows what's in your can and tells you when to refill – even halfway through a plant. Plants that need nothing today don't show up at all. You set the order once as your watering route through your home.

IT ADAPTS
If the soil is still moist on watering day, tap "Still moist". If that happens twice in a row, the plant gets watered less often from then on – and Gießtag tells you so. In winter it waters less often automatically. You can set your own values any time.

MADE FOR EVERYONE
Large text, large buttons, plain language. The whole row is the button – even with the watering can in your other hand. Away on watering day? Simply water early.

ALSO
• History as a monthly calendar, export as a table
• Thirsty plants get a second day each week
• A follow-up the next day if something is still waiting
• Your own photos of your plants
• Dark mode and large text

GIESSTAG PLUS
For free you can add three plants with all basic features. Gießtag Plus unlocks as many plants as you like and the holiday plan for whoever looks after them – as a one-time purchase, a yearly subscription or a monthly subscription. The yearly subscription starts with one free month if Google Play offers it to your account; after that it renews automatically for one year at a time. The monthly subscription renews automatically for one month at a time. Both renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Plants you've already added always stay usable, even if a subscription ends.

The amounts are guidelines based on common houseplant care rules.
