Readlume: Magnifier & Light

A pocket magnifier and reading light for small print.

Readlume turns your phone into a clear, steady magnifying glass with a built-in light. Point it at a restaurant menu, a pill bottle, a receipt or the ingredients on a jar, and read it comfortably. Large labelled buttons, a typeface designed for legibility and a one-hand layout make it easy to use, even with tired eyes.

A CLEAR LIVE MAGNIFIER
• Live camera magnifier with one-tap zoom levels and pinch to zoom up to your camera's limit.
• Tap the view to focus on exactly what you want to read.
• Negative and gray views for print that is hard to make out.
• No ads over the live magnifier, ever. The view stays clean while you read.
• Snap the magnified view in one tap. Pictures go to your Snaps library, where you can share them, save them to Photos or delete them.

LIGHT WHERE YOU READ
• Switch on the flashlight straight from the magnifier for dim restaurants, dark cupboards and the back of a device.
• The Light tab turns your whole screen into a soft reading light. Slide from warm candlelight to cool daylight and set the brightness you like.
• Set the flashlight strength on phones that support it, so the light is bright enough without glare.

FREEZE FRAME AND FINE ZOOM (PRO)
• Freeze the magnified view, then pinch and drag to look around the still picture. No more shaky hands, and no need to hold the phone in place while you read.
• Fine zoom with a smooth slider, plus super zoom that goes up to twice past the lens limit for the tiniest print.
• Brightness control: raise the exposure for faint print or bring it down to tame glare on glossy labels and foil packaging.
• Focus lock keeps the focus fixed at your reading distance, so the picture does not hunt back and forth.

READING COLOURS (PRO)
High-contrast color modes can make letters easier to tell apart for many readers. Choose high contrast, yellow on black, black on yellow, white on blue or amber, and switch between them in a tap while the magnifier is running.

COMFORTABLE CONTROLS (PRO)
• Choose which buttons appear on the magnifier: light, colors, freeze and snap.
• Make every button extra large for easy tapping.
• Night red light with an auto-off timer for reading in bed without lighting up the room.

MADE FOR EVERYDAY SMALL PRINT
• Menus, price tags and timetables when you are out.
• Medicine labels, instructions and the small print on bills and contracts.
• Maps, cables and serial numbers on the back of a router or TV.
• Electronics, soldering, sewing, splinters and other close-up work.
• Coins, stamps and the details on old photographs.
Readlume is a reading aid for everyday small print. It is not a medical device and does not replace glasses or a visit to an eye specialist.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The camera picture is shown on your screen in real time and is never recorded or uploaded. Snaps you take stay on your phone until you share or delete them. No account is needed and no location permission is requested.
