ScootKoers –Scooter Navigation

ScootKoers is a free navigation app focused on finding the best routes for scooters with yellow license plates. While standard navigation apps might send you onto a prohibited bike path or a highway, ScootKoers takes into account the specific rules that apply to your vehicle.

WHY SCOOTKOERS?

Standard navigation apps are designed for cars or cyclists, not mopeds. ScootKoers checks every route for prohibited bike paths, mandatory moped lanes (sign G12a), and restricted roads, ensuring a smooth journey without surprises.

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH IT?

• Tailored route checking: routes are verified against regulations for yellow-plate mopeds, with clear explanations of why a road is or isn't permitted
• Voice navigation: clear spoken directions while riding
• Switch vehicles: toggle with a single tap between scooter (yellow plate), bicycle/blue-plate moped, or car—each with a suitable route
• Tap the map: don't know the exact address? Simply tap a spot on the map to navigate there
• Automatic resume: if your ride is interrupted (e.g., screen lock, phone call), navigation resumes automatically
• Riders improve the map together: community route corrections are only implemented after manual review—never automatically
• Live traffic information for the Randstad area
• Unlock fun map icons (turtle, otter, tractor, and more) by watching ads—completely optional, never mandatory

PRIVACY FIRST

No account required. Your location is used only while navigating. Sharing (anonymous) ride data to improve the app is enabled by default but can be turned off with a single tap in the settings. Read the full privacy statement in the app.
