About kodiary: Korean diary coach
Keep a diary in Korean and get it reviewed as you write it.
Finish a sentence and kodiary reads that sentence right away. Not when you submit, not when you ask — the moment you put a full stop on it. The wording it would change is underlined in your own text, and the correction sits below with one short line telling you why, in your own language.
Tap once and the fix goes back into your writing. No copying, no retyping, no switching to a dictionary to check a particle.
When you are done, kodiary reads the whole entry once more. That last pass looks at what a sentence-by-sentence check cannot see: whether your endings stay in one speech level, which habit is costing you the most — 은/는 or 이/가, 에 or 에서, spacing — and the words you were reaching for but did not have yet. You get your entry rewritten the way a Korean speaker would have written it — still in your voice, still at your level.
WHAT YOU GET
• Review as you write, one sentence at a time
• The exact words to change, underlined where you wrote them
• One short reason for each correction, explained in your language
• One tap to apply a fix
• A final review of the whole entry: what worked, what to practise next, and your entry polished
• Vocabulary drawn from what you actually wrote about, not a word list
• A mistakes notebook built from your own sentences, and a quiz that asks you to fix them again
• Every entry kept, so you can read back what you wrote and what you learned that day
WHY WRITE INSTEAD OF DRILL
Grammar exercises test what you already know. Writing about your own day makes you reach for what you do not know yet — and that gap is exactly where the correction lands. A diary gives you something to say in Korean every single day, which is the hard part of practising a language on your own.
Plain style (했다) or polite style (했어요) — both are fine for a diary. kodiary does not push you from one to the other; it tells you when you mix them.
The app speaks 13 languages: English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai and Turkish.
