AirPlay Sender

Share your Android screen on a bigger display with AirPlay Sender — on AirPlay-compatible receiver apps and on TVs with Google Cast.

AirPlay receivers
Open an AirPlay-compatible receiver app on your Android TV or another Android device, connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network, and choose the receiver. Approve Android's screen-sharing prompt to start.

Google Cast
• Screen mirroring: tap Start mirroring and choose your TV on Android's Google Cast screen.
• Photos, videos and music: pick them on your phone and choose a TV. Play, pause and skip in Sender, or stop from the notification, while you keep using your phone.
• Needs a TV or device with Google Cast built in on the same Wi-Fi, and Google Play services on your phone. No receiver app is needed.

Simple controls
• Whole-screen sharing is ON by default. On Android 14 and later, turn it off to let Android offer a single-app capture.
• Sound is ON by default. Turn it off before connecting if you only want to share the screen.
• Whole-screen sharing opens your home screen after connecting. During mirroring, Sender shows the connection and Stop control.
• Return to Sender or use the ongoing notification to stop sharing.

Before you connect
• Both devices must be on the same local network. For AirPlay, a receiver app is required on the destination device.
• Screen mirroring works on Android 7 and later. Playback audio sharing requires Android 10 or later, and the source app must allow capture.
• Protected video and some apps may block screen or audio capture.
• Use an AirPlay-compatible receiver app on Android, such as AirPlay Touch or AirMirroring. Mac, iOS, Apple TV, and HomePod are not supported; identified Apple hardware is marked unavailable.

Your screen and playback audio are sent to the receiver you choose on your local network. Photos, videos and music you cast are played by the TV straight from your phone over that network. None of it is uploaded to us. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics help us understand app usage and crashes; Google AdMob provides advertisements. See the privacy policy for details.
