About MotionGuard: Motion Alarm

Leave your phone on a desk, charger, hotel nightstand, or shared workspace and arm MotionGuard before you step away. MotionGuard monitors movement during the session and can sound a local alarm if the phone is moved. The free core includes Normal sensitivity, settle-delay controls, a sensitivity test, and local trigger history.

MotionGuard Pro adds charger-removal monitoring, Low and High sensitivity, and best-effort Wear OS trigger alerts. Unlock Pro with an optional rewarded ad for an 8-hour Advanced Guard Pass after server verification, or make a one-time lifetime purchase. There is no subscription.

ARM A PHONE MOTION ALARM

Choose a settle delay, tap Arm, and let the phone settle. MotionGuard keeps the active monitoring state visible and can be disarmed from the app or ongoing notification.

TUNE MOVEMENT SENSITIVITY

Use the included Normal sensitivity for the free core. MotionGuard Pro adds Low and High presets. A visible sensitivity test lets you check how the phone reacts to movement before arming a full alarm.

PRO CHARGER REMOVAL ALERT

When the phone is connected to power at arm time, MotionGuard Pro can also watch for charger removal. If charging is unavailable, the app shows that state instead of presenting the trigger as active.

LOCAL TRIGGER HISTORY

Review when the phone was armed, what triggered the alarm, selected sensitivity, coarse movement evidence, charger state, and disarm time. Detailed history stays on the device and can be cleared in the app. Continuous raw accelerometer traces are not retained.

WEAR OS COMPANION

Pair a compatible Wear OS watch to view the phone's latest known MotionGuard status and access the status Tile. With Pro and watch notifications enabled, MotionGuard can send a best-effort wrist alert after a trigger. The phone remains authoritative, and watch delivery depends on connectivity.

OPTIONAL PRO, NO SUBSCRIPTION

Choose a user-requested rewarded ad for temporary Pro access or a one-time lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play. Rewarded ads are not shown automatically and are not shown while MotionGuard is arming, armed, alarming, or disarming.

PRIVACY AND NETWORK USE

MotionGuard does not require an account or a MotionGuard cloud service. Core motion monitoring runs locally and does not request Android location, camera, or microphone permission. Optional purchases use Google Play and RevenueCat. Optional rewarded ads use Google AdMob and Google UMP, which may process advertising/device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related ad measurement data according to your consent choices and provider policies.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

MotionGuard is a focused alerting utility. It does not prevent theft, track a device, provide emergency monitoring, or guarantee remote alerts. Android power management, device hardware, audio policy, and connectivity can affect behavior.
