Turn your phone’s physical buttons into useful shortcuts with PressDeck, a focused Android button remapper and volume button remapper for supported devices.

Use Volume Up and Volume Down for more than volume. Assign supported double-press and long-press gestures to actions such as launching apps, controlling media, opening the camera, toggling the flashlight, opening selected Android settings, or asking Android to take a system screenshot.

On compatible phones, PressDeck can also test certain dedicated assistant, AI, macro, or legacy Bixby-style buttons and offer a single-press shortcut when that device successfully delivers the button event. Support is verified on your device instead of assumed from the phone model.

TEST COMPATIBILITY FIRST

Android manufacturers handle physical buttons differently. PressDeck includes guided compatibility testing so unsupported gestures are not presented as guaranteed features.

The app tests what your phone actually delivers, including supported volume button gestures, screen-state behavior, and eligible dedicated device buttons.

OPTIONAL DEVICE BUTTON SUPPORT

Some Android phones expose dedicated assistant, AI, macro, or legacy Bixby-style buttons in a way PressDeck can detect.

When supported, PressDeck can verify the button on your device and offer a single-press mapping.

PressDeck does not remap the power button, claim support for every hardware button, or assume compatibility from the device model alone.

SCREENSHOT SHORTCUT

Assign a supported button gesture to Android’s system screenshot action. PressDeck asks Android to perform the screenshot and does not receive, inspect, store, or process the screenshot pixels.

PressDeck does not require a PressDeck account, ads, an analytics SDK, or a PressDeck cloud service.

ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE DISCLOSURE

PressDeck uses Android AccessibilityService for physical hardware-key filtering so it can detect supported Volume Up and Volume Down presses and certain allowlisted device buttons after compatibility testing.

Android may deliver other hardware key events to the service callback. PressDeck ignores keys outside its supported allowlist.

Accepted button events are processed on-device and are not sent or shared.

PressDeck does not use AccessibilityService to read screen content, read typed text, tap or swipe the interface, perform autonomous UI actions, remotely control your device, or capture screenshot pixels.

PressDeck is a button remapping utility and is not an accessibility tool for disability assistance.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTES

Physical button behavior can vary by Android version, phone manufacturer, software build, screen state, media state, Do Not Disturb settings, active audio route, and power management.

Some volume button shortcuts or device-button mappings may not be available on every phone or in every state.

PressDeck reports tested support instead of promising universal compatibility.
