Moose River walking tours for your enjoyment, education, and engagement.
Welcome! The Moose River Heritage & Hospitality Association (MRHHA) is pleased to offer walking tours for your enjoyment, education, and engagement.
It is our hope that the tours will be an avenue for you to experience the places and people that define our heritage and hospitality. The local Cree people and others who live (and have lived) in these places will be eager to share with you their culture and knowledge of the land, through stories and by their example. We encourage you to reach out to local elders and youth and ask questions of passers by. Walking is good exercise for the mind and body. MRHHA hopes you exercise both while on your tours.
They say a picture speaks a thousand words... Well, there are many photos to be viewed on this walking tour app - along with audio and video clips. We recommend you view these visual (and audio) aids as windows into the perspectives of the present, from the standpoint of stories from the past.
They also say that you don't really know someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes... We welcome you to "walk with us" and "walk with them"; i.e. those who have broken trail for us and walked these paths before us. And remember... always walk towards respect and the goal of mutual understanding.
