Tactical Compass Offline DMS

Know your heading and sensor status without an internet connection.

Tactical Compass: Offline DMS is a focused digital compass for hiking, backpacking, orienteering, field training, survival practice and off-road use. It combines a clear DMS heading display, guided magnetometer calibration and live IMU telemetry in one high-contrast field interface.

OFFLINE DIGITAL COMPASS
• Reads direction from your phone’s magnetometer and motion sensors

• Shows heading in degrees, minutes and seconds (DMS)

• Displays cardinal direction for fast orientation

• Works without Wi-Fi, mobile data or an account

• High-contrast design for outdoor and low-light use

SMART CALIBRATION
• Interactive figure-eight motion guide

• Live calibration and sensor-readiness feedback

• Automatically opens the compass when orientation data is ready

• Skip Calibration option for immediate access

• Magnetic-field readout helps identify possible interference

LIVE SENSOR TELEMETRY
• Magnetometer status and magnetic-field strength in μT

• Accelerometer and gyroscope availability

• Real-time sample collection status

• Clear sensor-ready and calibration indicators

BUILT FOR FIELD USE
Use the app as an offline compass on trails, a hiking compass at camp, a magnetic compass for orienteering, or a tactical direction tool during field exercises. Essential heading and sensor information stays visible without maps, accounts or unnecessary menus.

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
Core compass, DMS heading and calibration tools run on the device. No internet connection is required for normal use.

ACCURACY NOTES
Compass accuracy depends on the quality of your phone’s magnetometer, calibration, device orientation and nearby magnetic interference. Vehicles, speakers, magnets, metal structures and magnetic phone cases can affect the result. DMS provides a detailed heading format; it does not exceed the physical accuracy of the device sensor.

A magnetometer is required. Gyroscope and other telemetry availability depends on the phone model.
