Fuel Log & Car Maintenance App

Fuel log, gas log and car maintenance log for petrol, gas, diesel, flex (E85), LPG, CNG, electric and plug-in hybrid cars: gas mileage (mpg), service and oil change reminders, insurance due dates, car expenses and cost per mile. Car Log keeps your data yours: no account, no subscription, free PDF and CSV export, and your Fuelio, Drivvo or Simply Auto history comes in with one CSV file.

Most fuel log apps put the export of your own data behind a subscription and sync it to a server. This one has a + Fill-up button and a list, and what you type stays on the phone.

FILL-UPS AND GAS MILEAGE
• Odometer, gallons or litres, price, full or partial tank (a partial is added to the next full one).
• Consumption between full tanks in mpg US, mpg UK, L/100 km or km/L.
• Each average says its period. Partial and missed fill-ups are marked, and when a consumption looks wrong, the app asks whether you missed a fill-up.
• Average price by station from your own fill-ups, receipt photo, and a home screen widget with a + Fill-up button.

ELECTRIC AND PLUG-IN HYBRID
• Log a charge in kWh, or as battery % before and after once the battery capacity is set.
• Consumption in mi/kWh, kWh/100 km or km/kWh.
• A plug-in hybrid keeps two consumptions that never mix, and the report shows what each energy cost.

TWO FUELS IN ONE CAR
• Flex (ethanol / gas), CNG + gas, LPG + gas: each fill-up says which fuel went in.
• On a flex car, type the price at the pump: the app tells you whether ethanol pays off against your last gas price, under 70% by the rule of thumb, then at the break-even measured on your own car.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE LOG
• Oil change, tires, brakes, filters, battery, inspection, or anything else.
• Next due date or odometer, or a repeat interval. Reminders per vehicle: the Car screen shows what is overdue or due within about 600 miles (1,000 km) or 30 days, and a notification warns you. Done opens the next service already filled in.

EXPENSES AND DUE DATES
• Insurance, tolls, parking, car wash, tax and registration, repairs, in one list filtered by kind and by vehicle.
• Give an insurance renewal or a registration a due date and get a reminder when it falls due.

CAR EXPENSE REPORT
• Costs by month or year: fuel, charging, service, expenses, total; cost per mile or kilometre from your odometer readings.
• Charts of consumption, price and monthly costs.
• A PDF in real text, easy to search and copy, with every fill-up and its consumption, services and expenses; or CSV for a spreadsheet.

SWITCH WITHOUT LOSING ANYTHING
• Import fill-ups, services and expenses from a Fuelio, Drivvo or Simply Auto CSV file, or a spreadsheet; lines already in the log are skipped.
• Export to CSV in Fuelio or Drivvo format, or back up and restore your whole log as a file; the weekly automatic backup kept on the phone can be restored too.

TRIPS TOO
Press Start when you leave and hold Stop when you arrive: the distance follows the road you drove. Give each trip a purpose and get a mileage report at your own rate, for taxes or expense claims. Actual costs or mileage rate: for each car and year, the app sets the mileage rate on your business miles (IRS, HMRC, CRA or ATO preset, or your own rate) against your actual costs times the business share. Two calculations side by side, not tax advice.

WHAT IT WILL NEVER DO
• No account, no sign-up, no subscription. A single purchase removes ads for good.
• No server: your log leaves your phone only when you export it.
• No location tracking when no trip is running.
