See your battery's design capacity, current full charge capacity, health and estimated remaining lifespan on a single screen.

■ It tells you when it does not know

Android has no public API that gives apps the design capacity or the full charge capacity. Most battery apps work around this by showing a guess as if it were fact.

This app does not. Every number is labelled with where it was read from, and anything the device refuses to expose is left as "Not available" rather than invented. Values derived by estimation are marked "reference only", along with an explanation of why they are imprecise.

■ It gets more accurate as you use it

On devices that do not expose full charge capacity, the app collects charge readings at different battery levels and derives the real capacity by regression. The more samples it gathers, the smaller the error — and it reports the result with a ± range so you know how much to trust it.

■ How lifespan is estimated

Four methods are tried, strongest evidence first.

1. Measured degradation — extrapolated from the health trend this app recorded
2. Charge cycles — degradation per cycle applied to your usage rate
3. Device age — average decline since first use or manufacturing
4. Li-ion statistical average — a typical annual rate

It starts at method 4 and switches to better methods automatically as data accumulates. The screen always shows which method produced the number and how confident it is.

■ No permissions required

Reading battery information needs no runtime permissions. The app works without access to location, contacts or storage.

■ About device differences

Health and charge cycle data must be exposed by the manufacturer's kernel. Some recent devices block this, and on those devices those fields will read "Not available". The "Data sources" section at the bottom of the app shows exactly what your device exposes.

This app does not optimize your battery or extend its life. It measures and reports.
