artograffi

Pinch your fingers in front of your camera and draw — a real 3D line appears in the air, anchored to the exact spot you made it. Walk away and come back later: it's still there, right where you left it.

artograffi is a free augmented-reality drawing app built around one idea: anyone can make anything their canvas. Your art belongs anywhere and everywhere, where everybody can see it.

WHO IT'S FOR

Artists & creators
• Pinch-draw in true 3D space with hand or body tracking — no stylus, no touchscreen required
• Solid, neon, glow, and decorative brush styles (barbed wire, string, chain, string lights), any color and thickness
• Trace a photo or a real object into clean drawn strokes (Wireframe capture, Trace an image)
• Precise real-world placement via ARCore Cloud Anchors — a piece stays exactly where you put it, for anyone who visits later, not just "somewhere nearby"
• Build a public portfolio, host live collaborative drawing sessions, and get discovered through Nearby and the Feed
• Print a styled QR code for any piece or your profile

Local businesses & storefronts
• Leave a piece of branded AR art, a seasonal message, or a promotion right outside your shop, gallery, or venue — anyone who opens the app nearby can discover and view it in AR
• Every artograff gets its own QR code that opens straight to it in a browser, even for someone without the app installed — print it on a window decal, flyer, table tent, or receipt
• Set visibility to "Everyone" to reach anyone passing by, not just people who happen to walk past your physical mark
• Organize a real-world event (a pop-up, a class, a sale) and have it discoverable by anyone nearby

Tradespeople & construction
• Spot something that needs fixing? Sketch or photograph the fix idea right at the exact spot, save it "Only me," and come back whenever you're ready to actually do the work
• Precision Mode draws perfectly straight lines between two marked points — built for outlines, measurements, and layouts, not freehand wobble
• A note left on-site stays tied to that exact real-world spot, not just a photo you have to remember the context for later
• Keep job-site sketches private, or share them with the specific crew members who need to see them

Everyday moments
• Leave a memory exactly where it happened — come back anytime, or show it to family who visit that spot with you
• Keep a private, location-tagged journal only you can ever see
• Surprise someone: create a shared Vault and get notified the moment they're physically near it
• Turn a plain wall into shared art, or send a piece straight to a friend's inbox no matter where they are
• An optional audio guide plays a sound or voice note when you walk up to a piece that has one

MORE OF WHAT'S INSIDE
• Photo, burst, and video capture, with your drawing optionally composited into the recorded video
• Messaging with photo/voice attachments, reactions, edits, and disappearing media
• Titles, appraisals, and critiques as you build a following
• Report and block tools to keep the community civil
• Accessibility options: reduced motion, high contrast, larger text

artograffi works without an account for casual use, and unlocks a few extra features gradually over your first week completely free — enough time to actually learn the gestures before the toolbox gets bigger.
