Weavo - Collaborative Mosaic

Weavo is a collaborative art platform. Anyone can upload a piece of art, and it becomes one piece of something larger. Every artwork counts equally toward the whole, regardless of who made it or how.

How it comes together
• Upload any medium from your profile. There's no campaign to pick.
• Your artwork's dominant color is read automatically. No tagging required.
• Each piece is placed into whichever open cell, across every active campaign, its color fits best. Nobody places pieces by hand.
• The picture builds itself one piece at a time and comes into focus as more artists add their work.

It's a mosaic in reverse. A mosaicist starts with a picture in mind and cuts pieces to fit it. Weavo starts with nothing but color logic — the artwork comes first, from people who've never seen each other's work, and the image only emerges in hindsight. Step back and it reads like any mosaic. Step closer and each tile turns out to be someone's complete artwork.

Why we built this
A space where artists with and without disabilities are connected side by side through their work, with no separation between the two. Whoever made it and however it was made, every piece carries the same weight in the whole.

In the app you can
• Browse campaign mosaics as they grow, and tap any cell to see the original artwork and its artist
• Upload your artwork with its stories — About the artwork and About the process
• Crop, rotate and straighten your photo before uploading
• Explore artworks and artists, like and comment on the pieces you love, and follow artists
• See how artists are connected through follows as a visual network
• Arrange your favorite works into your own portfolio and share it with a link
• See artworks in a new way with Find the Pieces and Color by Number, and light up your own constellations

Browsing is open to everyone. You only need to sign in to upload artwork, comment, follow or build a portfolio.

Weavo is an initiative by ABST, a Jeju Island-based organization that brings together high school art students and local autistic and disabled youth artists to build exhibitions rooted in real collaboration.
